A Gyaru Who Invites Otaku – Trailer Review (Manga Book)

A Gyaru Who Invites Otaku is an upcoming Manga novel. The cover and initial intro is already out in which we can see a teenage fat girl in her late teen years invites a boy of her age to her place to play and spend time with her. She asks him if he wants to come over and enjoy her company and play some games. The main chapter is not yet launched on any of the Manga distributing sites. The first chapter just shows a trailer and sneak peak of the story in which we can see a teenage fat girl who has a big forehead and fat tummy and hips, who is standing and smiling and asking the boy to join her so that she can have fun with him. 

By seeing the sneak peak, I can say the teenage girl (This girl is referred as Gyaru in this Japanese novel which means an attractive teenage girl) who is about to reach 20 years of age wants to explore a new friendship with the boy presented as Otaku. 

The image and cover with some text suggests it can be a normal teenage focused Manga showing the life of today’s youths and what they do when they meet privately. It could show how nowadays children seek each other’s companionship to learn new things and find new adventures after their school or college. 

While the genre seems focused to teens, it can contain some adult stuff too, so check properly for any disclaimer or warning about the adult content. 

In my school days, when I was a teenager, I remember my classmates used to meet at each other’s homes to study, play and learn more about each other. When we meet someone apart from our usual routine like school, tuition, playground, we get to understand them better and we establish a closer and more defined relationship with them. In the story we will get to see how Gyaru and Otaku spend more time together and how it strengthens their friendship and makes them closer. 

They might also develop some love and affection feelings for each other in the “A Gyaru Who Invites Otaku” manga series.

From Strangers to Playmates: The Unexpected Invitation

The introductory chapter takes us to the picture: a teenage girl, described as having a Gyaru fashion style, who invites a boy she likes a lot, an Otaku (a fan of anime and manga). While they are both in terms of personality with Gyaru’s flamboyant style and Otaku’s keen interest on tech, computer, anime, etc – the girl’s wide smile provides a short hint that she wants to befriend the Otaku.
