Can Your Pet Be In The Room With Uvo254

If you want to really clean the air and the environment in which you live in without using any kind of harsh chemicals, you can buy a disinfectant UV light like UVO254.

What is Uvo254 and How it works

Basically, it is a UV light that comes in three pieces: you have the base, the outer covering, and the bulb. 

It comes dismantled in the box and you have to snap the bulb in place and snap the outer covering, and you’re ready to go. It’s super simple to put together.

It does plug in, and it comes with a remote which allows you to just power it on and then decide whether you’re going to run it. Once turned on it will advise you to get out of the room as it starts working for the selected time. It can be set to run for 15 min, 30 min, and 45 min to disinfect the room. Once you set a timer and start the device, it’s going to start beeping for 30 seconds, and then when you leave the room (and these dogs are leaving the room with me, they don’t know it yet, they’re sleeping, but they’re leaving), it’ll go for 15 minutes.

It effectively kills dust mites and all kinds of other allergens, and I have noticed just a huge difference. The air even smells cleaner afterwards. So basically, you let this run for whatever cycle you decide, whatever amount of time. 

The device has a 360-degree sensor on this so if an animal or a human walks back in while it’s being used, the light will be cut off.

That is actually a great feature.

And then after your desired time has passed, it turns off, and the dogs can come back and take another nap.

Can You Be In This Room If Uvo254 Is Switched On?

Now here’s the catch: I thought you could run this while you’re in the room.

You cannot.

So basically, you place this in the room (it’ll do about 200 square feet at a time).

You place this in the room, you plug it in, you hit the power button, and you select whether you want it to run for how long you want it to run.

And then you have 30 seconds to exit the room and let this thing go.

You cannot look at this light, and you cannot be in the room.

Pets cannot be in the room.

Plants cannot be in the room.

Because this is going to give off ozone as it is cleaning the air.

This takes care of dust mites and all kinds of other allergens, and I have noticed just a huge difference. The air even smells cleaner afterwards. So basically, you let this run for whatever cycle you decide, whatever amount of time. 

And then you must stay out of the space to allow the ozone to dissipate.

So that is something also important that I did not understand when I initially purchased it.

But I have to say, it really, I can feel a difference in the air.

It does leave a slight smell when it is finished, but that smell, that ozone kind of smell, dissipates.

But this is a way to sanitize your space or clean your space in a very easy way and without using any kind of harsh chemicals.

How and When to Use Uvo254?

It is highly advised to be used when the room is vacant because it literally kills living things in your room with its UV rays so it will definitely harm your pets and you. It should now be clear to you that you take your pets and any living buddy out of the room. It is best to be turned on when nobody is going to re-enter the room for the time it is on. 

So a lot of times I’ll just set it up when I’m heading out, and then I know that by the time I come back in a couple of hours, it’s going to be fine.

Or I’ll put it in the master bedroom, shut the door, I’ll put a towel at the bottom of the door, and I’ll let it do its thing.

I’ll let it run, and then I’ll let it have its time to dissipate, and then I’m fine to go back in there.
