Today, I am going to share my thoughts and review on an underrated movie named Lust of the Dead Part 2 which has a very unique plot. Lust of the Dead 2 is a Japanese horror-comedy film released in 2013. Directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu, it is the sequel to Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead (2012), which features infected males who have become sex-crazed zombies, hungry for human flesh. In this sequel, an unknown and highly spreadable virus infects most of the world’s population and transforms them into lust based zombies. Thankfully, in Akihabara, a town in Japan, some men are still uninfected and they unite with the zombies to target surviving young women to have sex with them. The remaining women must fight for their survival in the world of lustful zombies and horny men.
Some men in the apocalypse find it as an opportunity to fulfill their lustful desires. They team up with the zombies who hunt women for lustful purposes. These men are influenced by their own physical desires and see this chaotic situation as a way to take advantage of vulnerable women. They believe that they now have fewer moral obligations or consequences for their actions since most of the population has been turned into zombies. These men see young women as objects rather than human beings deserving respect and protection.
Uninfected and Remaining Men Teams Up with Lustful Zombies to Hunt Women
These uninfected men then decide to use the zombies’ strength and numbers to capture young women who are still alive after the apocalypse started. They help the zombies in exchange for access to these captured females or other resources they need to survive in this new world order where there is no law or authority figure protecting innocent people from harm.
The women who are now even more in danger from both young men and infected male zombies must fight even harder for survival and find a way to prevent their extinction from the earth. They find all possible weaponry and learn various fighting and combat skills to face both lustful men and zombies. They search for all possible weapons, including submachine guns (SMGs), auto pistols, and other firearms to protect themselves from these dangers. Additionally, they learn various fighting and combat skills such as using katanas or knives in close-quarters situations where firearms might not be effective.
In order to acquire military-grade armory needed to fight against massive numbers of zombies effectively, some of the women may need access to hidden caches left behind by government agencies or survivalists before the apocalypse occurred. Others may scavenge through abandoned military bases or research facilities looking for any usable equipment that could help them defend themselves against both lustful men and zombies alike.
As the women continue their fight for survival, they also face challenges in maintaining their own safety and well-being. They must constantly be on guard against both the lustful men who see them as objects of desire and the zombies that seek to consume them. This constant state of vigilance takes a toll on both their physical and mental health, making it even more crucial for them to find ways to replenish resources like food, water, medicine, and ammunition.
Despite these difficulties, the women remain determined not only to survive but also thrive in this new world order where they are forced into roles as warriors rather than passive victims. Their resilience serves as an inspiration not only for other survivors but also future generations who may one day inherit a world shaped by their courageous actions during these dark times.
Many Women Get Tortured by Zombies and Men Despite Their Best Efforts to Stay Safe
Despite trying their best, many women in the film who are fighting for survival against both lustful men and zombies end up getting outnumbered and harassed by them. Some face forceful physical relationships at the hands of both men and zombies. The pain and humiliation experienced during these attacks are further worsened by the fact that they also get infected by zombie’s semen and turn into a women zombie themselves that thrives among zombies.
These horrific events tell all remaining women how precarious life has become in this post-apocalyptic world where they can never imagine how to feel safe. However, many women continue to fight bravely against all adversities in hopes of creating a better future for those who come after them despite all odds stacked against them.
My Final Thoughts
Finally, the movie is fun watching and might be good for one-time watch. It is horror comedy genre movie with a lot of gory and brutal scenes. Many scenes include scary and slasher action scenes which might be inappropriate watching for some people so please watch it with caution. Also it is age-restricted movie, so please do not watch it in the presence of any kid at your home.
